Tae Ho was born and spent his early years in Seoul, Korea.

In 1975 he began attending high school and college in the U.S. where he pursued a degree in dentistry and has been a practicing dentist in California since 1984.

He is married to Sung Kang and they have two sons, James and Daniel.  He learned about ice sculpting from his brother Joshua who has participated in the Single Block since 1999.

This is his first time at Ice Alaska and is one of his bucket list.
