Dearborn Michigan

Jeffrey Lao, MA Ed, CPIC, ICE, CC, CHE, began ice carving in 2009 under the direction of Chef Richard Teeple. He is currently an ice carving educator and chef instructor at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan where he is also the coach of the Henry Ford College Ice Carving Club. Jeffrey has been in many competitions around the Midwest including Plymouth Ice Festival, Zehnder’s Snowfest, and Bloor-Yorkville Ice Fest. His current awards include the 2012 NICA National Collegiate Champion, Three-time Plymouth Ice Festival Speed Carving Champion, and multiple NICA Silver and Bronze Medals.
