John began his ice sculpting career at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, California.  This soon led to a job at American Hawaii Cruises, where he spent the next three years sculpting ice around the Hawaiian Islands.  His work there secured him a position sculpting ice for Renaissance Cruises, which sailed all over the world.  

John returned to Orange County to teach ice sculpting at the ROP Culinary Arts Institute in Fullerton, California and to sell ice sculptures privately all over Southern California.  His sculptures have been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, and KOCE PBS.  

He lives in Claremont, California with his wife and daughter.
