Bio

Born and raised in Fairbanks, AK, James was introduced to ice carving during a high school field trip in 2002. He fell in love with the medium and started competing every year since. Now living in Portland, OR, James started up ICEovation, where he exercises the craft and brings the Alaska experience of ice-carving to the lower 48.

James is also a contributing Member of Ice Alaska. We thank James for his annual assistance, arriving before the event opens each year to help build the ice structures for all to enjoy.
